I Sing the Mighty Power of God

hello :)

Once before I had a new years resolution that I wouldn't blog anymore, and that didn't happen.

Now I want to revive my blog :P  I've been so lazy...

most of the time I just want to post songs anyways.  I've really loved this old hymn recently.  Team Strike Force put a new melody to it and other Mars Hill bands put their spin on it.  The one by Sackcloth and Ashes is my favorite (free download).

I sing the mighty power of God

that made the mountains rise

that spread the flowing seas abroad

and built the lofty skies.

I sing the wisdom that ordained

the sun to rule the day.

The moon shines full at God's command,

and all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord

who filled the earth with food,

who formed the creatures through the word

and then pronounced them good.

Lord, how thy wonders are displayed

wherever I turn my eye

If I survey the ground I tread

or gaze upon the sky.

There's not a plant or flower below

but makes thy glories known,

and clouds arise and tempest blow

by order from Thy throne,

while all that borrows life from Thee

is ever in Thy care,

and everywhere that we can be,

God art present there.

Oh kings of earth and everything

that lives now with us sing,

and let your glory reign

on every mountain crest.

Creation has confessed

that You have given breath

from heaven to the depths.
