shocked...
Tuesday, September 23, 2008
I've been home from Turkey for almost 2 months now. It's been quite an adventure...
I'm shocked...
I'm shocked...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
No matter how shocking, exciting, painful, or whatever my life may be, I know Who holds it. I am always in His care, and I love it. Even in the hardest times, it seriously rocks. This is my God, who died to save the world, and rose again to conquer death: Jesus Christ

He called her "Life"
Saturday, September 13, 2008
I recently read this really cool article on the Resurgence.
"And Adam Called His Wife's Name Eve:" A Study in Authentic Biblical Manhood
So it's meant for men but I just loved the hope and redemption the article points out was there for both the man and the woman in the Garden of Eden scene!
I have A LOT of thoughts on this, and have enjoyed talking about it! (especially since it runs right along with the "lifegiver" part of the 5 Aspects of Woman study I'm doing now!) So it'd take me too long to write all it here... but in summary, it gets me very excited!
so this is my re-introduction to blogging after my month of facebook. I plan on writing about how all that and the rest of this past month went, as well as why I quit facebook again, soon..

facebook fear
Thursday, August 07, 2008
I just signed up for facebook again. I had it my freshman year and deleted it at the end of my spring semester.
...
...
I just wrote an extremely confusing rant about why I'm afraid to have it again. I deleted the post because I realized it made little sense and I don't know what I'm talking about.
Friends, just keep me accountable on not trying to use Facebook, or blogger, to cure my insecurities that only Jesus can fix. Facebook would probably be the last thing that could fix any insecurities I have...
And pray that I'll live in the freedom I have in Him.

God is a DJ

Sometimes, I like to go on a date with the one who loves me most, and play the "iTunes Game" where I put my iTunes on Party Shuffle and listen to what I'm supposed to hear :)
Yesterday I was very thankful for:
Somebody Like You by Keith Urban
It Will Be Me by Faith Hill
Meet Virginia by Train
I Will Get There by Boyz II Men (from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack)
Wrong Turn by Jack Johnson
My Wish by Rascal Flatts
