Christmas break is the best time for getting together with family and friends...
and getting surguries done that you can't do to easily while you're off at school!
I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday! all SIX of them!! haha! Well, I'm not in very much pain. I just look quite funny :D I'll post pictures as soon as my new memory card starts working...
I've pretty much been a hermit all winter break so far. Apart from Lauren's birthday and seeing the study-abroad boys for a couple days I haven't seen anyone outside the family. Christmas time was really busy, and the day after Christmas I caught a cold. Then I had my surgery... but I hope to see more people in the upcoming week.
Happy New Years!

Well, I've waited for winter break to make this blog. Here we go!
I wanna write about a lot...the story behind the name of my blog, the other names I thought of using, how my December has been, Christmas parties with long-time-no-see-wow-a-lot-has-changed family, finals, how much God has been blessing me as I've had so much free time to be with Him, how I'm frustrated at my parent's computer for eating my digital picture card, how Oprah got me crying over North Korea, how much I enjoyed Mill Avenue, how much I enjoyed The Pursuit of Happyness, how much I didn't enjoy Love Actually... and all these other random thoughts that I've had the time to think lately. Maybe I'll get to them in the future. But it all seems like too much now.
I will say this though: that quote "the world is flawed, but these scars will heal" from Switchfoot's song We Are One has really meant a lot to me, this week, this semester, this whole year. The Lord has taught me a lot with that line of hope. And praise Him that it's true! He's coming back to heal the pain we've brought into this world. There's a lot of pain in this world, more than we can even know. I've learned about a lot this year. And Christ's the only hope.
...And what hope that is!
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us - Romans 8:18
